He'd better lower those legs for landing!

Just take it easy. There's always tomorrow. And if tomorrow doesn't come, you won't have wasted any effort on it.

iHis trajectory looks off but I'll bet he makes it. Nice timing.

Great shot. They're all ravenous here at the moment.

The good news is the Sparrows are starting to reappear. We've seen several coming and going for the past 3-4 days, nice to have them back again.

Nice to have you back again too.

Thanks Pol, its good to be back.
You have a shortage of sparrows cus I have got them all
Captured quite a few similar shots that afternoon but a lot of luck is involved.

I focus manually on the feeder and their flight path and just click away with the remote.

Talking of the Sparrows, it seems to be getting even better. They had a nest behind the eaves for years and it's recently been deserted up there. David tells me he's been noticing feather coming down from there this morning and he also noticed a Sparrow going into the chink above the old nest today.

We're thinking maybe they just got spooked and scared off when next door had loads of tree work done and also got rid of a huge Conifer hedge. The main thing is that they seem to be coming back and visiting the feeders again.

The opposite corner of the house is still full of Blue tits with their nest(s) in the overhang under the eaves.

Can't really get into the garden atm. Quite apart from the fact I'm stiff and hobbling, the garden is turning into a lake again with the continuous, very heavy rain. Jays are literally paddling through HUGE puddles , as are Collared Doves. It looks like we're probably in for another floody winter down here.

The hedgehogs haven't returned this year either, though 'something' has been at Hogitat entrance. I just hope it wasn't 'Brock' stealing and eating them. Badgers do that though we've never had it happen here before. I'm still guessing they drowned last year.
