Kelly head shot

I went back over the photos I shot of kelly last week and I liked this one a lot. Fuji xpro1 settings iso 200 35mm @f4.5 1/125sec. Flash is a quadra ranger camera left port b lowest setting just to lift the shadows. I know the highlights are a little bit hot and maybe more so in the black and white but I felt I could just about get away with it

In this instance I do prefer the colour version but maybe the background could have been extended downwards to cover the white patch at bottom left corner.

I prefer the b&w Peter simply because there is more detail in the eyes, in the colour it looks a little heavy in shadow around the eyes.

Thanks for the feedback The background is the head board of the bed she is laying on. She is propped up on her arms with a slight head twist

Thanks Paul. This one is a bit harder for me as I normally have a clear favorite but this time I do like both and for the very reasons you have said
