  • The golden pavilion at Kinkaju-ji, Kyoto

Julia and I enjoyed a fabulous trip (a working holiday) just under a year ago in Japan and this was one of the highlights

That's a truly wonderful structure and an excellent picture that is very sympathetically composed.

Thanks Graham. Julia wanted new prints for a couple of the frames in our living room and this is what I chose along with this:

..my daughters Lara (left) and Elizabeth (right) although cropped for portrait orientation.

Lovely image - beautiful girls. Love Lara's earring chain.

Japan really is a beautiful, intriguing place. Our middle son has spent a lot of time there and always brought back some wonderful photos. He has lots of images of the pavilions and shrines and even managed to capture a Shinto wedding one time. I'd love to go there but that's never likely to happen now.

Lovely picci of Lizzie and Lara too. I was just thinking about how it only seems like yesterday they were just little girls and here they are now all grown up fashionable and altogether lovely.

Geeez I'm feeling very old and lame in this 'empty nest' this morning!

Just love the first, it oozes peace and tranquillity.
Stunning shot of the girls but you really need to lose the segment of picture frame on the right

The portrait crop did the job
