  • View from the 31st floor

Unlike the current salon challenge "From Below" here are some shots looking down - from the 31st floor of the tower block in London's West End, Centre Point, at the point where Tottenham Court Road and Oxford Street meet:

These were all shot through quite thick and rather dirty windows, by the way.

Glad to hear it, Ian - that's very high to be hanging over a railing.

    What a view!

Thanks - the sky in that shot was 'enhanced' in posy processing

You wouldn't catch me doing that - I really don't like heights at all!

Very interesting set, can anyone go up there or do you permission? I had to think about the one of the British museum, I've seen the Great Court so many times from the inside but not really considered what it looks like from outside.

Like you I'm not good with heights but would give it a go.

I was at a press event - they have meeting rooms up there (Paramount at Centre Point) so I don't think there is general public access.

I was intrigued by the British Museum too because from inside the roof looks white but it looks green from the outside...

                To high for me nowadays..
No 5 for me, the sky enhances the whole image.
