  • Fuji 56mm F1.2 test

Taken in a local park and cafe. All shot with natural available light. This was a test shoot so I could give my ne fuji 56mm f1.2 lens a run out. Also all shot at F1.2 as this is a style I like to shoot in. Verdict ? "I love this lens"

These are all lovely, each has something special about it - all have details to ponder. Very pretty girl with relaxed, natural poses and the skin tones and details of her hair, eyes etc have all come across very nicely.

I feel the series just gets better and nicer progressively as I go through the shots in sequence. My favourites are the last two - I just LOVE that last shot!

      Hi Pol

Thank you for those nice comments. She is a very pretty young lady (only sweet sixteen) well till next sunday yjay is. I am very much liking the way the fuji works and with the new 56mm lens it really comes alive.

Seeing what people posting on the web have been coming up using that lens I just could not wait to get my hands on one Took just over two weeks to turn up but well worth the wait Pretty sure me and that lens are goung to be very good friends. Must say Fuji have done a great job with their primes of which I now have the 18mm,35mm and now the 56mm.

I like these Peter - I wonder how your lens compares with the Panasonic Leica 42.5mm f/1.2 I am currently trialling on Micro Four Thirds? It's super sharp at f/1.2 I have to say.:

Uncropped shot of John Perriment hard at work when we visited Hatfield Forest a few weeks ago to photograph the buttercups:

And here is a crop to show how sharp the lens is at f/1.2:

Here's another - Cindy is my model

              Uncropped

1:1 crop and as you can probably see I didn't manage to focus on one of her eyes as the textbooks say you should. Focus is actually just behind the front of her nose

                Thanks Ian

I may not yet have given this lens my best shot but I feel its a very sharp lens. I think fuji have done a really good job on all their primes of which I now have the 18mm f2, 35mm f1.4 and now this one the 56mm f1.2. Price wise its not a cheap lens but then again at f1.2 I would say its very well priced. Weight wise on the xpro1 it is a little bit heavy but not so heavy that after the two hours I was out with it I felt that it was to much. Sorry no cat shots yet but I will try my best

I really like these portraits. But even more I like the photos of this cat, they are just gorgeous, this is the real masterpiece!

**Flash and lights are always important. Exposure compensation will affect your exposure when using flash, so I would keep it in the middle.
