  • I wonder what's up there?

I have driven past this steel ladder in Glen Strathfarrar many times over the years and always wondered why it was there; well today I stopped and climbed up:

    1.

There wasn't much up there apart from a hill and a few concrete pillars which much must be to do with the surveying and building of this down below:

    2.
(The verticals have gone to pot)

Anyway I thought I may as well climb the hill for the view and what a view, time for a pano me thinks...

    3.

Here is the view back down the glen to the east:

    4.

And here are a few views from back down the glen looking east

Apologies for the number of images, thanks for looking

    Oh wow, what a view!

Well worth stopping to climb that ladder, also well worth carrying on up the hill. I just LOVE that pano!

The pano is magnificent and well worth your climb.
Strange place to leave a ladder all that time. Wonder someone hasn't had it away.

It is well and truly bolted to the rock and would probably need 4 people to carry it off!
