  • Early season close-ups

Annoyed at not being able to find the Ring Ouzels that my friend had seen I turned my frustration to catching a few roadside delights with the Leica 14-150mm:

    A collection of wild flowers:

    Comfrey:

    Ground Ivy:

    Lesser Celandine:

    Fumitory:

    Green Alakanet:

    Daisy:

    Now some Bugs

    Hairy-footed Flower Bee, male:

    Red Mason Bee, Osmia rufa

    Eucera longifornis, female:

Green-veined White, my first this year:

and a couple of Arachnids to finish (taken with 60mm macro)

The Ring Ouzels turned up again after I'd left the site, life's a b....!

    Re: Early season close-ups

    Hi David -

What a bummer. I know how you feel, Anne and I spent the day with the Red Kites and they were taking advantage of almost clear skies, we needed the 300mm as they were so high.

You have presented us with some great images above.

    Thanks.
