  • Claim To Fame

The village where I live, Great Easton, is small and rather lacking in facilities. True, it has a church and a pub, but no shop. If you want to buy a pint of milk it means a trip to Dunmow or Thaxted, both about 3 miles away.

One thing we have got is a prestigious Rolls Royce dealership. In fact, P&A Wood are the only Rolls Royce authorised accident repair agent in the UK. Which makes our little village somewhat unique.

Hard to believe that you have such a prestigious dealership in a village with no shop.

I dare bet they'd probably sell more loaves of bread and bottles of milk than new cars if they were to branch out.

Lovely picci though, John. Very nice forecourt where customers can park up and enjoy their caviar on crackers, eh.

Pops, yes, it's certainly a bit of a contradiction!

Mowgli, I don't know, but they are specialists in a market that probably hasn't felt the economic squeeze (the rich usually are immune) so they may sell more than we would expect.

Pol, you forgot the champagne! How the other half live, eh?
