A lovely scene and initially a bit of a surprise because these are very early tulips but then I remembered you're in Channel Islands

Was this taken using an effects mode on the camera? I can see that it's not a sunny day but it does have a slight HDR feel to it.

There are a lot of tulips out now over the island so we could be spoilt for choice. Even the ones in our garden are "nearly there" and I aint green fingered at all I used a filter from Topaz labs called spicify (in ps elements) to lift it a bit because the sun disappeared before I got to the park.

Thanks John, Its part of a children`s park and this area also overlooks an old folks home. It is always well kept and the flowers are changed regularly. This is the first time I have seen a seat in this particular spot which is what lead me to take the picture. Thanks for commenting

The filter has preserved contrast but everything just looks a bit cold; perhaps a dash more saturation would help
