  • Sunbathing

I always feel privileged when a wild animal decides to spend a few daylight hours in the garden. This one spent the morning sleeping behind shrubs then decided to move onto a path when the sun came out.

They don't often show themselves in the daylight hours unless they're unwell, maybe with Mange, but this one appears to be perfectly healthy with a good, bushy coat and tail.

    Re: Sunbathing

Nice, I was expecting a sunbathing bird species.
Light thinks it travels faster than anything but it is wrong. No matter how fast light travels, it finds the darkness has always got there first, and is waiting for it. Terry Pratchett.

It looks so relaxed and comfortable. It also looks like a gloriously warm day too but it's actually very cold out there but at least it's drying out after all the winter rain and floods.

Oh okay but you'll have to come down here and do it for me ... and don't get water all over the bathroom floor!

BTW - the fox isn't dirty, not muddy. It had been nibbling that ruffled patch of fur and probably getting rid of a few fleas. Their fur is a sort of greyish black under the reddish fur coat.

As long as he/she stays away from my chooks, that's OK
