  • Longest in the World

Southend Pier is a major landmark in Southend-on-Sea. Extending 1.34 miles (2.16 km) into the Thames Estuary, it is the longest pleasure pier in the world.

Southend Pier taken March 2010 - it seems just two people are enjoying the views.

This photo really shows the length of the pier Barrie. I also like to see the E3 .

That's one heck of a walk to take.

Wow. I flew into Southend a few months ago and caught the train to London. Wish I'd known about the pier. Would like to have seen it firsthand.

          Hi Pat -

In your current condition you could take the train down the pier!

I hope the itching hasn't started yet.

          Thanks John and Pops.
