  • St.Albans Cathedral last night

Was down at the cathedral last night (bitterly cold after a relatively balmy day!) shooting test shots for my next AP 'classics revisited' article which is about the Olympus E-1 (launched in 2003). I thought this turned out quite well

    ISO 800, f/6.3

I could have used a lower ISO but the test was for higher ISO settings and this one was already a 1 second exposure. I was a bit worried as the camera was in danger of being wobbled by the wind even though it was on a tripod.

Its a beautiful building and very nicely photographed.

Dare I mention the stray light at bottom right being surplus to requirements!

One of my favourite local(ish) buildings.

I really like this - a great image.

The black sky works very well for this shot as the lighting presents the building in a way that model is lit in a studio against a black background.

The composition cleverly reduces the intrusion of the tree.

        Well done Ian, quite inspirational.

Yes I should have edited out that light but I liked the 'star' effect!
