Olympus Stylus-1 pix

As the day was sunny and we needed to shop, we walked to the canal from SRS microsystems, Watford and started a journey finding various settings to take some good pictures with our new cameras. Surprised how good this compact camera is.

2 lovely tranquil scenes. The footpath in the last looks very inviting.

Thanks once more.

The path you see in pic 2 only runs for about a quarter mile before returning to its natural state, which of late has been puddle strewn and quite wet underneath.

You do meet friendly people from the narrow boats even offering you a cup of tea.
This guy has used a pipkin type beer can and cut a flap at the bottom to feed firewood in at the base, a gutter type grill at the top and a sturdy vessel to brew the tea. He even has a homemade instrument for toasties - quite inventive.

I'm hoping to find a canal in heaven if I get there along with an Olympus store!

We had good weather and some new scenes on the canal today - pix to follow.

If SRS had even the slightest idea of a good sales event, they would offer try before you buy photo walks along here.

They could even get you guys to lead them in exchange for free upgrades on bodies, lenses etc..
