Ours was okay though we had our 'family time' last w/e on the 21-22nd as usual because that's the birthday of one of our sons. We feel lucky it was still possible to meet up that w/e!

We weren't flooded over Christmas and we were amongst the lucky ones who had, and still have a power supply. Our sons were also dry and with power but couldn't get through to be here on Tuesday or Wednesday. 11,000 still without power, some of those near here and some of them have been off since Monday night. It's been mayhem with so many trees down, flooded roads and a landslide on the railway line.

Fingers crossed none of us will be without power after the imminent storms.

Happy New Year when it blows in though, eh!

We lost several fence posts in the previous storm and had them replaced
so we were okay this time. Just 3 roof tiles lifted but not completely off, we'd had those nailed on every third row after losing so many in another storm.

Ian, I love Lara's hair cut! It's a super style and it suits her very well - she looks gorgeous.

Lovely happy photo Ian. We also had a happy family time at one of our sons Derby. We are very lucky and have had sunshine, frost a few gusts of wind but nothing too serious. I really feel so sorry for people who have been flooded and those without power - it must be unthinkable.

Hoping everyone had a very happy Christmas and wishing you all a merry New Year

We've had a quiet Christmas - my children couldn't afford to come back for both celebrations so will be arriving next Thursday for a combined Xmas/my 60th birthday party. The turkey's been ordered, and must cook nutroast for the vegetarians.

But I've been kept busy - shooting the Christmas carols for a hospice charity on the Eve and the annual mummers play on Boxing Day for Alzheimers. Pics are up on Facebook and have proved popular .
