One memory from my trip to Japan with Julia last July/August was the noise of the cicadas almost everywhere.
When we arrived in Tokyo from Osaka we went to Sensoji temple in Asakusa and in the fading light I got closer to my noisy insect friends
These shots and video were all taken using an Olympus OM-D E-M5 and an m.Zuiko 75-300 tele zoom @300mm (600mm in full frame). The stills were taken at around 1/50th hand held. They are quite severe crops.

In the following clip our subject does a runner - maybe something to do with the ants crawling around its feet!
