Nice - I particularly liked the mallow flower.

We went to one of the British Summer Time concerts in Hyde Park a couple of weeks ago - we were lucky enough to get tickets very cheaply from someone who had got them as freebies, and asked for a donation to charity. Then I found out I couldn't take in a DSLR (although as we had VIP tickets that apparently didn't apply, but didn't find that out until we arrived so a wee bit far too pop back and pick it up!)

I had cheated very slightly by taking in the EOS-M, but only with the 20mm wide-angle but I still got some good shots of the screen. The camera shots are up on Flickr.

This one is taken with my phone, though and then edited in Snapseed.

Now that I've signed up for Adobe Creative Cloud, I installed Lightroom Mobile on the phone. So far, I'd only used it for editing shots I'd taken as a variation from Snapseed, but this week I've been trying out the camera in "pro" mode, which means that images are saved as a DNG.

This was taken very late last night (I was watching something on the tele and was bored) under tungsten light and it's straight out of camera, apart from changing to a square crop to remove my other half's legs!

I think that is an excellent image Caz. I am thinking about getting a better phone, instead of upgrading my pocket camera so I'm looking at everything I can.

Thank you Autumn - my phone is an Android, whereas I think Pat has gone the Iphone route. I have a Google phone - made by LG, which means that it doesn't have all the Samsung bloatware I used to suffer from! Excellent camera (Google), but recently I've started shooting DNG raw through Lightroom mobile.

Two more from me - once again shot with the Lightroom Mobile camera app on the LG Nexus 5x google phone, in DNG RAW. The first, from the side of the stage at a ska gig, was edited in Lightroom CC along with the other 300+ images from the gig - mainly colour corrected so it wasn't bright red!



The second was shot in the Lightroom Mobile app and then over exposure corrected on the PC and is the statue outside my office in Banbury.

Those are incredible images Caz, so perfectly exposed. Just love the overall feel of them. The colour balance feels just right.

Mind you, I've just had a cataract removed from one eye and awaiting the other to be done!

Thank you Audrey - I posted the statue on FB when I'd only edited it in the mobile app and got absolutely blasted for an overexposed photo: the sky was absolutely wiped out. Obviously the mobile app isn't perfect for everything yet, which is why I took it into Lightroom on the PC and got the colour back in the sky!

Good luck with the second cataract operation - both of mine are still "cooking" and are not at the operable stage yet and are growing so slowly they're not affecting my vision very much apart from driving in the dark in the rain makes me see stars!

Continuing an old thread. I'm finding I'm going to my iPhone 7 more and more. Looking forward to the iPhone 8 (althought this one isn't paid for yet!).

Geat pics as ever Pat - can't join in at the moment because my Google LG Nexus 5x suffered the dreaded bootloop problem. Warranty replacement sent, but that only lasted 24 hours and now been without a good phone for almost a month. The Samsung S3 just doesn't compare!

To my mind in 5-10 years even professional photographers will use their phones to take photos. Nowadays we have lots of different smartphones that can compete with both dslr and mirorrless cameras. What will be in several years? I have some friends who use their iPhones 7 and they usually get great shots.
