  • Some Butterflies from Corfu

Just a few I took whilst there last week. All taken with the 75-300mm, not in my opinion the best lens for the job but it was all I had with me at the time.

    Meadow Brown:

    Painted Lady:

    Clouded Yellow:

    Grayling:

    Mazarine Blue:

    Lang's Short-tailed Blue:

Lovely to see these in October. The last is a new one to me

It's certainly a versatile lens and although not the best for the job it has coped admirably well.

Nice captures there David, whilst the 75 -300 is not ideal for these it still capable of good results. It would be interesting to try some macro tubes with it to get in little closer

Yes I have some Kenko tubes and have used them to good effect in the past. Now I have the 60mm I don't use them so often but I should always carry them with me as they're so small - lesson learnt!
