  • Dancing Queen (young flower girl)

I shot this young lady a few weeks ago at a wedding and next to the bride she was the star of the show

A lovely natural capture, and the kind of thing the bride, groom and family like to see.

I haven't shot one this year, but last year there was a niece of the groom who was captivating but one of my friends commented on the groups shots (where she was twirling with her wand) that she spoiled the pictures and should have been made to stand still. Why? The couple wanted natural images and that's what they got and were very happy - in fact the images with the young child are family favourites. Having had a tip-off, I was also asked to concentrate on the oldest member of the family. It was her last family event, and she died a couple of weeks later - but the family have fond memories of her looking so happy at the wedding. Once again, same "friend" commented on her white legs in her wheelchair and said they should have been covered.

She looks so proud of her dress. How she managed to get her feet like that is a mystery.

I have only shot this one wedding this year and it was a bit of a strange one in the groom is my ex brother in law. I shot his last wedding about 15 years ago when he married my sister in law. I do like photos like this at weddings and much prefer to shoot these type of photos then as I call them the fire squad line ups ie group photos . This one has gone down well with all the family and mum even has the colour copy as her face book profile photo.

I am not sure how she did that with her foot but thats kids for you.
