  • A little bit of country life

I've been quiet the past few months (though I've tried to comment when I can) but think I've finally caught up with editing though really should be updating my website

It's been manic since May when I was asked to shoot the village "Olympics" and the next village's summer "Regatta" - there's not a river for 10 miles!

The children's sack race (some of the adults cheated by wearing a sack on either leg and running rather than jumping:

The dad's were very competitive in the wheelbarrow races:

As for the "Regatta" in the next village, there was a lot of activity in the weeks building up to the event and a huge demand for hard board. For the first time, they had a two-man team:

But then they have to leave their boats and go up to the start: when the horn goes, they all run down the street to put on their boats and run around the village.

Their village is a lot bigger than ours, so it took about half an hour before they reappeared. This was the boat from our village - can you guess the theme was transport?

Wonderful set of photographs. By the looks of everyone it was a fun day from start to finish.
    Shame on those cheating adults
