  • Paws In The Park

As you all know I'm a dog lover and this annual event is by Dog Charity organisations. It was specifically organized by K9 Search UK who were instrumental in finding my Gabriel who went missing for six days last year and to who I am indebted.

Saying that two of my biggest loves are dogs and photography so I had a great time anyway and what was going to be a hour spent there ended up being five hours.

Just a few of my personal favourites from the day the rest can be seen on my Flickr.

All taken wit the E-M5 and m40-150mm and PP in CO7.

I make no apologies for posting two off Dylon who was a rescue dog and is one of the cutiest I have ever seen.

    Regards Paul.
One day I hope to be the person my dogs think I am.

Thanks, Paul, for showing me how running dogs should be photographed!

    The sunglasses shot is brilliant.

I love the way the poodle's ears echo the little girl's pony tail.

I've no idea what type of dog the last one is, but it sure is cute!

Thank you John, that was actually my first time taking pics of dogs jumping, I put it down to the E-M5 being a amazing little bit of kit.

Yes I could not resist that one when I spotted it, I guess owners do look like there dogs.

Dylan is a pomeranian who has been clipped.

Wonderful set of pics. The jumpers are exceptional.

Our Suzie is also a rescue dog

Thanks Pops, I'm surprised Pol has not commented, I know we are the only three dog lovers on here.
          Regards Paul.

Ahem... make that four! Just can't have dogs any more because Dave has enough difficulty walking on his own sometimes without having to be towed by a pup! We make do with cats nowadays, don't have to take them for walkies although I do take Bonnie out on a harness sometimes: due to living next to a main road they're house cats.

Think you did a wonderful job, and thank you for sharing. It's given me some ideas what to look for when they have the fun dog show at the village fete next week.

Lots of favourites, but think that weimaraner's ears stole the show for me.

Oh wow ... I'm in spasms of delight here!! All those dogs!!

One of my friends once had a 'Pommy' but she never had it clipped, just used to splay her tail over her back and tie a ribbon on her head. Her Pom never winked like Dylan either - I mean how cute is that, eh!

You made my day with that lot - all those wet noses, damp tongues and ears to enjoy!

I keep coming back to these.

The pics of the dogs jumping are fantastic. I wish I was that fit and agile again. If I were I'd be at a rescue centre choosing a dog (or even two).

Thank you Caz, I'm sure those ears gave him a unfair advantage (lift) over the others.

Thank you Pol I'm glad you enjoyed them, I thought you might.

Hey, count me in too! We can't have a dog because of Freya's allergies but I still love them. Given the chance I'd have a Border Collie.
