  • Pretty critters

Went out this afternoon looking for Dragons and Damsels. The only Dragons around were Brown Hawkers which in my opinion are the hardest of all to photograph (which means I have never managed it) so no joy there. There were at least four species of Damsels around and I managed to get a few decent shots.

    Variable Damsel, male:

    Common Bluet Female:

    Emerald Damsel, male:

    Female:

    Female detail:

    Bluetail Damsel, male:

    Lots of Butterflies around too.

    Small Copper:

    Brown Argus:

    Finally a Small Skipper:

All with E-M5 plus 60mm macro except male Emerald which was with the 75-300mm.

You seem to know the exact location of whatever critter you get the urge to photograph. I envy you your options.
I particularly like the detailed female close
    up.
