  • After The Storm

Well it's been thunder storms off and on here for most of the day, even had hail with one of them!

The sun came out for ten minutes in between them so I popped out into the garden with the E-PL5 and grabbed a few shots before the next one.

One day I hope to be the person my dogs think I am.

clean and beautiful petals with fresh water - a typical subject that also makes me want to take some photos.
I think, however, I'm a bit lazier and most likely won't go out during the short 10-min. break.

I like the DoF of the second one - neither too much nor too little. Also the diagonal composition. Overall yellow tone is just beautiful.

Yoshi said it all: two eye-catching shots. The first has lovely depth of field and like the diagonal composition on the second - pin sharp focus on that bee.

        Thank you yoshi and Caz.

There not bad considering they were took with the kit 40-150mm fitted with a Sigma close up filter.

The results from that combo are always that consistent and good quality I have not as yet felt the need to get a macro lens for my micro four thirds system, I did have to get a macro lens for my Pentax DSLR though.

These are absolute crackers. I do hope your storms don't ruin that rose.
The storms have taken off most of the petals on mine.
