Re: Vertical pano from the Empire State Building
Very nicely done! The new World Trade Center really draws the eye.
Ian - your avatar looks like London City Hall. If I have my bearings right, there's a great Argentinian steak house just to the right rear of where you were standing. My daughter took us to dinner there one night. If you're not living on the edge you're taking up too much room.

Re: Vertical pano from the Empire State Building
Surprising how some images are improved by barrel distortion, although when I first looked at the picture I thought it might be the curvature of the earth (I mean to say there is quite a distance in land mass in the shot), anyhow I like what I see.Originally posted by Pops View PostBet it would make an interesting print.
I rather like the barrel distortion

Re: Vertical pano from the Empire State Building
really like this, but weird how the barrel distortion is there. with it being a composite and not exactly wide angle, i'd have thought there would be no BD. that said, i don't mind it as it looks like a crop from a single wide angle shot.
great job ian!

Re: Vertical pano from the Empire State Building
None of the donor shots are like that. I think it is a by-product of PS having to distort the scene to get the donor images to stitch thanks to the change in vertical perspective.
