    A lovely red rose Huw. Is the second shot Stamens of a lily? the soil is so dry here. John.

        Thanks for kind comments John, I believe the second shot to be a Hypericum calycinum or 'Rose Of Sharon'.
        It's very dry here too.

        Thanks very much Pops, both shots were taken with the 60 mm macro, the second one was wide open.

          Very nice Huw the second is my favourite, although in the rose shot its obvious CO7 has been used and made its usual good job of holding detail in contrasty reds.
