I have been trying to ID this little bird. Size is about the same as a Robin. My bird app don't seem to be helping much as so far I have not found anything quite like it. Can you help please?

Lovely to see it. I havent seen any young Robins this year.

Thanks Garry. They say you learn something every day and I now know what humble pie taste like. My better half has been saying it was a Robin and I should have known better than to doubt her. Never in all my 82 years have I seen one and certainly didn't think they were mottled like this one. Oh well I'll just have to bite my tongue in future.
