  • Bee House

Around 2 weeks ago I put up a bee house. This morning I spent an hour watching some tenants moving in

As of an hour ago 4 of the tubes have been sealed and another 4 are being worked.
First time I have put a bee house up and I was delighted to have attracted so many bee's.

I am pretty sure these are the Leaf Cutter bee's.

    The watcher!

Fascinating home. It will be interesting to see how they fare with the seasons.

Good clear images - thanks for showing them and more to come I hope.

        Re: Bee House

Nice shots and fascinating idea. I assume, nay hope, they're not aggressive bees!

We have bees in abundance all over the garden, presumably because we have a Snowberry boundary, which the bees love, in addition to the the wild flower 'meadow flower' beds which all the insects enjoy.

I'm not gonaa have a bee house though. I've been stung by bees and wasps more times than I care to remeber! Ouch!

No worries Pol. I stood less than 6 feet from the house for an hour yesterday and never even got investigated.
