  • Marbled White

Ann1e and I spent about two hours in the meadow this morning and had to retire to the air conditioning in her car due to the heat. I must have lost a pound or two in weight (since put on by consuming about three litres of liquid).

There were so many butterflies which was pleasing to see and as on this sort of occasion there was a slight wind blowing through, not the best conditions for photographing butterflies etc.

We saw marbled whites, whites, brimstone, ringlets, small skippers' painted ladies and six spot burnets (moth).

    Taken with Olympus E-5 - 70-300 lens - iso 160 - f.9 - ev -0.7 etc

One of my favorite butterflies. All of a sudden entomology seem to have got going.

Gorgeous colours and nice crisp definition of both the flower and the butterfly.

And yeah, it's kinda hot here too! One extreme to the other, eh!

        An all round stunner.
It was far to hot for me yesterday. Couldn't even sit in the shed
