  • A old friend returns

Staying in the same farmhouse at Bernera, Wester Ross we had a visit from our old friend of a year ago - I think the peanuts and cheap strawberry jam drew him in on a very "drench" day:

Delightful shot and what a cute little fella he is too!

    Is it a Weasel?

Thanks. It's a Pine Marten, about as big as a skinny cat (but much longer tail) and the second rarest carnivorous mammal in the UK.

Wow, thanks for that! I've never seen one for real.

My husband had said he thought it was a Marten so he can go away and gloat when I tell him he was right.
