  • British Museum pix

A few pix from a tour we took our Australian friends on - such a delightful couple.

    British Museum front

Roof and shadows (part of the roof)

    Human headed winged bull

    Ramses II (huge)

    Zeus

    Olympus XZ-1 - A or P. mode - iso 160/800 - some flash used etc

    I hope you like them.

Very good set Barr1e. I've seen the second one so many, many times in our club competitions, often by visiting lecturers. They all seem to get such good results. It is one place I would like to go to and see and photograph.

Is it the sun on Ramesis II face? It gives a lovely warm glow to a cold object.

Great set Barrie - and thanks for reminding me about the Herculaneum and Pompeii exhibition... we really must find a weekend to go down again!

Horacio, Pops and Caz, many thanks. It was one of my better visits, amazed how the crowds built up later, thank goodness it is such a large museum. I was pleased and surprised with the performance of the small camera.

Thanks very much Audrey. Not sunshine but a ceiling light - took a little while to get what I wanted from Photoshop Elements. I have also cloned out the decapitated folk in pic 2 - I'm sure they will feel better for it.

Some great shots of a familiar location, Barrie. I remember when we had a group meet there several years ago, a really enjoyable day.
