I love this - it's unusual, interesting and rather amusing, all in one - and it has mystery - just what is this rather porky-looking bird?

I had a Ruffed Grouse take off from the undergrowth giving me a real scare. I was walking past an apple tree where a few weeks earlier there had been a big pile of Black Bear poop!Light thinks it travels faster than anything but it is wrong. Yesterday morning SWMBO had a Black Bear cross the road in front of her when she was walking the dog. It stopped and looked at them before grunting and disappearing into the bush.Light thinks it travels faster than anything but it is wrong.
