Re: Sight and Smell
Oh no, why is that? My mind is telling me that dogs don't have particularly good eyesight anyway - but I could be wrong. It may be in relation to cats' eyesight, perhaps.

Re: Sight and Smell
Ian she has cataracts developing rather quickly on both eyes which is not normal for a dog so young. The vet has referred her to a specialist so we will know more then.Originally posted by Ian View PostOh no, why is that? Re: Sight and Smell
Julia's brother is a vet - I will ask him about this. I assume cataracts can be treated in dogs as they are in humans, but I would guess you'd need insurance to get this done affordably.Originally posted by OlyPaul View PostIan she has cataracts developing rather quickly on both eyes which is not normal for a dog so young. Re: Sight and Smell
Thanks Pol, and has they say whatever it takes will be done.
Thanks Ian from what I understand it is different for dogs has they have to have the eye lens actually replaced.
I have insurance although I doubt it would cover the full cost but that is of no consequence as she means more than money to us.
My biggest concern is that it may mean glaucoma developing but that is the worst case scenario.
