    a pair of Collard doves try to nest behind my neighbors satellite dish.




    But never with any success.

      As I think I have mentioned before - collared doves are very recent dwellers in the UK with hardly any before the 1940s. They have spread from eastern Europe over the last 100 years or so.

        If I remember correctly the first record of them breeding in Cheshire was 1963.
