  • Dunnock

A dunnock from the garden, we seem to have quite a few of them this year.

    Regards Paul.
One day I hope to be the person my dogs think I am.

Many don't give it a second glance but I find them to be quite pretty closeup.

      Re: Dunnock

I am ashamed to say I had no idea what a dunnock looked like until I saw some shots here on the forum - and then realised what I thought were adolescent blackbirds or thrushes in my garden - were dunnocks.

Good habitat study of it as well being a great capture.

They spend a lot of their time on the floor or in the low shrubbery.....until they start singing ,where they find a higher branch out in the open and sing sing sing.....great to watch and hear.
