Starlings are amazing birds - quite frenetic, but always entertaining and incredibly adaptable. They also change in appearance throughout the year. At Luton Airport you will find them outside the main entrance to the terminal building as brazen as ever almost begging for scraps. I got to within a few feet of some with people all around. Normally they definitely keep their distance. And then there are the murmurations - amazing living clouds of thousands of starlings.
