    OM-D, Tokina 300 mm f/2.8, stacked Canon x1.4 and Tokina x2 extenders.
    Three images merged with Photomatrix.

    nice. i too was out the same night, shooting through the scope. haven't processed the images yet though

            Wow bags of detail there Dave, what's your scopes focal length?

            Thanks Ian, yes I was surprised too.
            My first attempts didn't look promising partly due to conditions but this and some others worked out quite well

              Registax would tease out a lot more detail and deffo worth trying after grabbing a suitable number of base images

                    nice! you should definitely get 10-20 exposures and try stacking in registax. it takes some getting used to, but all of the 'magic' happens when you apply the wavelet sharpening in the final step. that bit is also the most frustrating as there's no telling, other than playing, as to what effect each slider has
