  • What a big one!

Whilst photographing along the canal today (Kingfisher - Buzzards - Swans - Narrowboats and dogs)
Anne and I saw two young fishermen. I spotted the head of a large fish which had just been caught - I have to say for two young men the care taken over the catch was exemplary - the story unfolds here.

    About to be netted

    Lifting out of the canal

    Photographed by the catcher

    Back in safely

    ...and now something completely different.
    New and Old

    Taken with Olympus E-5 + 70-300 lens - A.mode -f.10ish -ev -0.3 etc

That's really nice to see Barrie good to see that some of the youth today do care. You always have a story attached to your photo's and I thank you for them. By the way I like the shot of the limb with last seasons leaf John.

What a great sequence of shots you captured. Top marks for the youngsters as well.

The young and old shot is gorgeous. The beautiful background makes it jump out.

All super shots, Barrie. Those young anglers certainly seemed to know what they were doing, how to handle and release the fish properly and quickly to give it the best chance of surviving without too much trauma. The expression on the fish's face is also memorable!

As for the last shot, the lighting on the golden leaf is very striking. Lovely shot.

          Barrie,

Lovely set of images - content and quality. The bokeh and colours behind your (new and old) image are superb.

          Ray.
