Hi Andrew, i think i continuously want to believe it was a wax museum that you visited the other day. Im sure a real person cannot keep the same pose for such a long time, from B&W days to the colour days. I also enjoyed your other pics in the gallery and thanks for that too.

Re: Lifes Hard at the Hardware Store

Interesting picture Andrew. We went there a few years ago and I took all my pics with an SLR Pentax and a black and white film which I had to develop myself on a Photography course I was attending. I remember the foundry and welder. I was so into photography and trying to get a good picture and my husband just took one of the welder in colour and on automatic and it was fantastic. Mine were awful and out of focus or moved.

Anyway your pic reminded my of this one I took in 2002 on a cruise to Cape Town. We called at Cape Verde and I got some interesting pictures. This one I see now is over saturated and oversharpened (I think I moved), but I hope my processing has improved a bit since then.

                      Hi Andrew,

Some great shots, the mono shot really works well, gives it some feel.

Another reason I'm glad you posted them is, we have not been there for a couple of years now, used to live around the corner from the museum, still only live 20 mins away, I even have the accent for the place. Must go back there very soon, in fact I have some old glass bottles to donate to them.

We have been there at Christmas and Bonfire night both are great times to visit as is any day of the year, just don't forget to pop into the Glass and Bottle for a quick beer, just don't ask for Lager or Coke as you will get a lecture on what was and was not around in the old days!

Btw have you been to Blists Hill, Iron Bridge ? Thats very similar but on a larger scale, plus you can buy a ticket that covers several attractions in and around it's location.

                      Thanks for sharing
