Bar-tailed Godwit

These largish waders come to UK shores in large numbers during the winter months. Similar to the Black-tailed Godwit but obviously with different tail markings and a slightly longer and thinner upcurved bill.

Aside from the first 2 being great pics have you noticed the rock in foreground of the 2nd.
Looks like some creature wallowing in the mud.
