I must say I rather enjoyed the recent cool spell, it meant almost having the canal to oneself. It was pleasing to see it in a new perspective. The bends as the canal meanders along its way looked so different. The beauty of the trees and their boughs standing proud with a covering of white. The boats with smoke pouring from the chimneys - one could imagine the toast put in front of the little stoves with the baked beans in a saucepan atop the burner. I'm just beginning to salivate so I had best post a couple of pix and get ready to climb the wooden steps.
