    That's different, nice looking bird.

    Had one drop in a couple of years ago. I reckon it was hiding from the local farmer.

        Guess we know what you're having for supper.

            I have never tasted pheasant. I know you have to hang it for a few days for the meat to mature.

              My mother-in-law fed it to me after our first son was born. Very nice it was too.

              We sometimes get a female coming into the garden, never a male that I can recall. Yours is much more handsome.

                Hello Pol he is here again this morning not been able to get a good shot My back garden faces north and the area just outside the conservatory is in the shade and taking through the double glazing not good.

                  Very bold creatures, probably because they are almost hand-fed when the estates rear them to shoot. Very stupid too, when they are 3/4 of the way across the lane they run back into your path when they see you coming, instead of running to the far side. Our local Squire regularly offers us a brace at this time of the year but we shamefully decline - my days of gutting and skinning went when the angling passion left me.
