I like the clear backgrounds you have in some of your shots, backgrounds like this one here.

Is it simply that the sky was light greyish and clear or is it something you do in the post processing?

Thanks. The Robin was in the shade against a pale blue hazy sky and was underexposed. I increased the exposure in pp which off course lightened the sky, which I saw no need to re-saturate as I thought it looked OK as it was. I also removed some of the horizontal splinter the bird is perched on with Snapheal.
