Re: I am ready for the snow.
We have one of those, a black one, and it's been used already this year.
David used it about a week ago to clear the patio and back path down to the back gate. We only had an inch of snow and I didn't think it was necessary but he just wanted to play with his new toy. He's also had sacks of salt and grit delivered and they're both stored in the garage. He's just like a big kid, an overgrown schoolboy.

Re: I am ready for the snow.
Ours has already had quite a bit of use. It's been snowing since we got up but it's thawing almost as fast as it's coming down.Light thinks it travels faster than anything but it is wrong. No matter how fast light travels, it finds the darkness has always got there first, and is waiting for it. Terry Pratchett.

Re: I am ready for the snow.
I carry a snow shovel in the boot/trunk of the car. It is made out of plastic and is in two parts - they screw together to become one.
It was a gift some many years ago from an Italian tyre maker.
I like the colour of yours John - mine is grey.

Re: I am ready for the snow.
My son bought me a Snovel about 3 years ago. It is the best thing I've ever used to get rid of snow. Hard to describe, but it has one wheel about 3 to 4 feet in diameter, a fairly large scoop on the front of frame, and handles. The large wheel acts as a leverage point and you push it, filling the scoop, then levering it up and dump it to the side or whereever. Sorry for the poor description but it works like a charm.

Got up this morning and this part of Ontario is under a freezing rain warning that's expected to stay in effect until sometime tomorrow.Light thinks it travels faster than anything but it is wrong. Re: I am ready for the snow.
I need snow! I sell skis for a living. The winter in New England last year was conspicuous by its absence and it's yet to put in an appearance this season. My first race is scheduled for next Sunday. I highly doubt that it will take place. Okemo Mountain in Vermont produced a fair amount of manmade snow when the temperatures dipped last week so i was able to get in a few runs on my snowboard on Saturday. I experimented with a GoPro camera and simply tied it just above the knee on my rear (right leg). If you have access to Facebook, you can watch a short video. To get the full effect, watch how the horizon changes.
If you're not living on the edge you're taking up too much room.
