No its not the name of a TV show..... The Remarkable mountains dominate the landscape at Queenstown, Central Otago New Zealand. This was another attempt at a panorama - this time using 2 views. I took the photo(s) late evening and the mountains had this pinkish tint which was very attractive.
It's a bit of a compulsion of mine - but I'm rather obsessed with the density of shadows and I can't really see a true black in this one, the shadow lightness bothers me, Trevor - what do you think?
Fantastic scene though .

PS Is there any chance this could be an Adobe RGB file?
Trevor kindly agreed to let me show my version of his picture:
I've darkened the shadows and added some contrast. This works for me, personally - but I do wonder if it has made the mountains slightly less dramatic?
I see what you are getting at Ian however I think that the green is a bit intrusive and cuts down the effect of the sunset. I have had a bit of a fiddle with my original and this is the result. Yes the image would be Adobe RGB (199

Re: My tweaked version "the remarkables"
Oh Heck, :
I like both tweeked versions, the clarity and contrast of Ians and the softer evening shot of ddigits, it being more true to how it must have been in the late evening light, can't ya blend them together to get another version?
