A few from the other day with the K-30 and kit lens.

    A quick candid grab shot.

My favourite heron was back on his favourite perch again.

    Regards Paul.
One day I hope to be the person my dogs think I am.

    Re: Snaps

They're both super shots but that first one is absolutely fabulous! The detail definition, colours and contrasts are just soooo spot on!

Superb, right down to her last freckle.

Paul two super pictures particularly the first one. When you say with the kit lens did you mean the 18-55mm or the 50-200mm? By the way I have been and gone and done it this morning - I went to SRS and traded in my K10D for the K30 and the two WR kit lenses that you have. If my pics turn out as sharp as yours I will be well pleased.

I shall look out to see how you get on with your new Kit Dennis.

Thank you Pol, Pops and Barrie.

Thank you Dennis both were taken with the 50-200mm WR which is very good indeed for a kit lens.

You will not regret it and when I tell you that the heron shot was taken at ISO 3200 and you can see all the feather detail and you try it yourself you will see how much they have improved the sensor since your last model.

            Regards Paul.

Lovely little girl and the pink hat makes it all the better.

That camera has got a superb photographer! I especially like the candid portrait of the little girl, obviously too absorbed in something else to be influenced by the camera. The dynamic range is excellent too, with the highlights handled very nicely.

I expect the Pentax is very pleased with its Paul!

Thank you John, indeed they are all tools in the end.

I'd have stayed with Olympus DSLR's if I had thought they were going to produce a new DSLR I wanted.

Now I'm just waiting for the funds to upgrade from the E-PL3 to the E-PL5.
                  Regards Paul.
