Black Redstart

This handsome little bird is rarely seen in most areas of the UK but on my recent week in Corfu I had the pleasure of getting close-up and friendly with several. Needles to say as it is obvious from the images, these encounters were all in and around harbour side tavernas!

A first viewing for me of the black redstart outside of a book.
I see the male is the more attractive as is usual for the birdworld.
