  • Sunrise Indonesia

Following on from the sunset - this was the same beach, two mornings later.

I was lucky with the light and colours.

Again, processed to bring out the colours.

    Walking back from the beach...

Oh! Indonesia - you make it too easy!

Difficult to seperate but No 5 really does it for me. The silhouette has some amazing detail.
Would like to see the pre-processed image.

loving the colours in the sunset photos!
the first shot of the hut....is it a crop from a larger frame? if so, it'd be nice to see it without the electricity pylon on the left of the photo.

Well, here it is with the Pylon cloned out.

Here's a crop of the next picture in the series - this is about 30% of the total, and I still had to clone the power lines out.

It does. I guess I was doing so much processing I didn't get round to it. BTW - most of these were all processed on an Acer netbook! (All I have at the moment in Indonesia - my travel companion!)

When I see the word sunset in relation to photos I really expect to see some beauty. I wasn't disappointed with these and I like #5 untouched as well as the finished product if not better.

Thanks Tom. I also like the untouched image and there is a difficult balance between reality and fantasy. On this occasion, the image OOC didn't really do justice to the feeling of being there and the wonder of the hues as the sun rose, so I tend to try and invoke that feeling by processing.

The E-400 is still a great camera, and my only desire to upgrade is better high ISO as I want to get better results in low (not 'no') light photography: at the moment everything with the E-400 blurs with a simple indoor shot as the ISO performance >400 is not great. Of course, the other improvements, including size/weight, will be a bonus.
