My wife who is a keen gardener - mainly of flowers and shrubs - always thought that Orchids required very skilled care. Two year ago she decided to buy some in full bloom and found to her delight that not only did they bloom for months but needed little care and attention. Certainly no more than she gives to all her household plants. See an example below:
Yes ! I think the name of the Orchid is "Phalaenopsis". But, in order to improve the background I put another plant behind the Orchid and these are the leaves which you see - we think the name of this plant is one of the species Dracaena Fragans "Massangeana". I find the Orchids which we have a little ungainly as, I am sure you are well aware, the leaves of Orchids tend to be located around the bottom of the stem which extends well above the leaves. So, I thought putting another leafy plant behind the blooms would improve the overall image. I suppose it is "cheating" really but I wanted an interesting photograph !
A beautiful specimen in its prime and very well photographed.
Must be in a very sheltered spot to be so sharp at the speed you used.
That is my problem Pops! Always seems to be a wind blowing in my garden (well at least breezy enough to move the flowers) Never wanted to cut them and take them indoors so get frustrated
Just because cliches are cliches does not make them wrong. I do like walking in the rain.
