    A pair of these stunningly attractive small geese decided to pay a visit to our local lakes:



    The male is a real Dandy (even in the rain):

    Very little difference in markings between the male and female. A bit unusual for the bird world I think.

        Do they migrate from Egypt? Can't see why they would want to and the second shot backs me up

          I think they were introduced as an ornamental species but a couple have escaped and the now breed occasionally in the UK, although I have never seen any juveniles.
