Plastic probably. See a lot of meerkats like this in garden centres.

Just kidding - well seen shot, I like it.

Not going to be out done, nice to see the Buddleia still in bloom.

Sadly no credit to the occupier. His garden is tendered by a paid crew who visit weekly and yes, he does have time to do it himself.

Since you comment on his available time, I assume the occupier is paying the crew. I find that highly credit worthy. You don't have to travel very far in most communities to find property where you wish the occupier had the good sense to hire professionals to take care of it. Supporting a business by buying its services is not a bad thing to do, either.

Cute shot of the cat statue.

              Point taken jr.
My thoughts tended to centre on the more personal note of him not having experienced the feeling of self satisfaction at a job well done.
I have discussed this with him and he confesses to having no interest in gardening so maybe he is taking the right course of action. Put it down to me not understanding how anyone could not like gardening and the rewards that come with it

Ah, I thought you might be one of those people . . .

Gardening is one of those things that always seemed like it might be rewarding, but even the hour or so it took to mow the yard left me miserable for hours with allergy problems. I wasn't always in a position financially to hire a crew in regularly, and after 20 years of home ownership I finally sold the thing and have been blissfully enjoying apartment living for about six years, now. Surprisingly, even though I had already paid off the house (bought on a 15-year contract), I find my total annual costs to actually be lower in the apartment, and my landlord gets to deal with all maintenance and outdoor work issues. Now that's what I call rewarding!
