      Hi Stephen,

This is a daylight photo, processed to look like it was taken under tiny candle room lighting. At 1/296 sec shutter can hardly be a low light photo and especially at ISO 50.
Obviously you have read the EXIF that I left there

      Regards

      George

Well actually no I didn't I've given up checking your photos for Exif data, as most don't have any, which on more than one occasion I have found frustrating

Anyway, please tell us how you processed it to look as though it was taken under candlelight

The Exif data is a bit confusing. Light source flash, Flash off, White balance Flash. Whats going on here then George?

            Simply beautiful George.

I bet you were pleased with this one, the subtle lighting really shows the detail nicely. I love it, one of the nicer flower pictures I have seen on DP Now!

I hope Ian has seen this, as I would like to suggest this for a PoD.

              Stephen,

I usually don't include EXIF info just because I use high compression for the photos I post and try to save some bytes from the EXIF in order for the picture to have better quality.

This was a macro day shot. The flower though was in a shadowed (I could say dark) area. I put the camera on a tripod and I had a small torch of 0.5W bulb illuminating the flower. Then the very dark background was turned in Paint Shop Pro to dark and minor contrast adjustments were done.
              That's all.

              Regards

              George

                Ron,

Flash was used for light source because the area the flower was dark even it was a day shot.

White Balance was set to custom mode.

This is how the info is recorded in the Coolpix 7900.

                Regards

                George
